چکیده
Objectives To further evaluate the appearance of insulinoma in dogs on dual-phase CT angiography, given disparity findings recent publications. establish whether angiographic localisation correlates with surgical findings. Materials and Methods Single centre study a final diagnosis which underwent abdominal angiography. Scans were retrospectively re-evaluated for specific features by two board-certified veterinary radiologists. These also subsequently compared to histopathological reports determine accuracy lesion CT. Results Thirty-five cases included analysis, pancreatic nodules identified 33. Twenty-one confirmed as histopathology. Jack Russell Terriers over-represented. Twenty 21 27 33 overall showed hyperattenuation arterial phase. The mean size was 15.1 mm, 18.2% larger than 20 mm. Eighteen eight 12 suspected insulinomas caused deformation shape, only result this feature these lesions isoattenuating throughout study. Pancreatic location at surgery matched that described images 17 19 where report. Clinical Significance In contrast publications, suggests phase is predominant feature, hypoattenuation or isoattenuation are much less common. angiography accurate prediction before most cases.

Contrast-Enhanced Ultrasonographic Detection and Dual-Phase Computed Tomographic Angiography in a 5-Year-Old Boxer with Pancreatic Insulinoma—Case Report
This case report describes the findings in a canine histopathologically confirmed pancreatic insulinoma using contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS) and dual-phase computed tomographic angiography (CTA). The insulinoma was better demarcated in CEUS and CTA compared with conventional B-mode ultrasound. On the other hand, only one of two nodules visible in CTA was detected in CEUS. In this case, the...
متن کاملComputed tomographic appearance of colorectal hepatic metastases.
INTRODUCTION This article reviews the various computed tomography (CT) appearances of hepatic metastases from colorectal primaries and assesses the frequency of occurrence of the various patterns. MATERIALS AND METHODS This is a retrospective study of the CT appearances of histologically proven colorectal hepatic metastases in a group of 52 patients who had undergone surgical hepatic resectio...
متن کاملComputed tomographic appearance of lissencephaly syndromes.
Lissencephaly is a rare malformation of the human brain manifest by a smooth cerebral surface. It is usually associated with other brain anomalies. The computed tomographic appearance in nine patients with lissencephaly, representing several separate types and syndromes, is reported. Common manifestations include a smooth cerebral surface and absent opercula that may lend a figure-eight appeara...
متن کاملComputed Tomographic Angiography under Sedation in the Diagnosis of Suspected Canine Pancreatitis: A Pilot Study
BACKGROUND Computed tomography (CT) is highly accurate for diagnosing pancreatitis in humans. The diagnosis of pancreatitis in dogs is based on clinical signs, laboratory findings, and ultrasonographic (US) changes. There are, however, inherent limitations in relying on laboratory and ultrasound findings for the clinical diagnosis of pancreatitis in dogs. HYPOTHESIS/OBJECTIVES We hypothesized...

C tomographic angiography (CTA) of the coronary arteries is in its relative infancy. Newergeneration electron beam computed tomography and the rapid development of multidetector ( 64 slices) computed tomography (MDCT) with increased spatial resolution (0.33 mm) and temporal resolution (50 to 100 ms with multisegment reconstruction), shorter breathhold (5 to 12 seconds), and less contrast (60 to...
